Whichever role you are in, whether you work in an organization, own a business or are aspiring entrepreneur, being able to understand how business works and what financial numbers mean will empower you to enhance your contribution to the organization and enable you to grow.

Join this session to enhance your business and financial acumen and business thinking in an interactive and engaging way that helps remove stumbling blocks in understanding business finance. We will take you through an interactive business game.

• Learn fundamental business concepts and explain how a particular business works
• Be able to explain where data on the financial statements come from
• Understand key business drivers and explain how they impact an organization’s performance
• Understand how you in your role contribute to the organization and identify ways to enhance that contribution

Facilitator

Anna Samorukova creates engaging, immersive, simulation- and game-based learning experiences with optimized use of technology and innovative approaches to maximize engagement and learning effectiveness. Learning experiences that are aligned with organizational goals and are aimed to deliver organizational and personal impact and inspire people to reach the next level of their potential. Anna applies developments in neuroscience, psychology and principles of game play, immersive activities and motivation to help organizations facilitate change.

Anna is an adjunct faculty at NYU School of Professional Studies teaching in the Master of Science Human Resource Management and Development Program.
